😴 Rest is as important as training. Surely you have noticed athletes sharing data about their sleep on the social media.
⁉️ But … why?
🛌 Allows the body to recover and prevent injury
🛌Approximately 50 minutes after the night sleep begins, our body will begin to secrete much more growth hormone, compared to other times of the day.
🌑 At night, the body goes through different phases of sleep. It tends to go from light to deep sleep, back to light sleep, and then into the rem phase, although sleep cycles can vary.
👀 It is common to stay awake for 10 to 30 periods each night, but some are so brief that you may not remember them.
🚨The rem phase is around 20% of your sleep, it is very important for memory and mood.
🚨Light sleep usually occupies 50% of your night, stimulates mental and physical recovery
🚨 The deep helps physical recovery
and aspects of learning. If you are more refreshed than usual, surely you have had a good time in that phase.
